MY SONG IN Episode 7 of "DEXTER: RESURRECTION!!" Kill Your Ego by PIKE PROJECT!!

I can now say this because it's true!

PIKE PROJECT "as heard on DEXTER: RESURRECTION!"

On Friday, August 15th, my birthday! The song "Kill Your Ego" by my band Pike Project, played in a scene of Episode 7 "Course Correction" of DEXTER: RESURRECTION, complete with Michael C Hall's infamous Dexter Morgan narration. The ultimate birthday gift!

If you'd be so kind, I'd appreciate you all checking out "Kill Your Ego" on whatever streaming platform you use.

Making music is a strange thing. I love making it, but we're not an active touring band, so it's not easy to be noticed. These Pike Project songs were the one positive to come out of the worst period of my life, so them finding any new life three years after their initial release is amazing to me. (And also a motivator to finally start finishing up the long dormant follow-up album!)

Pike Project has also been added to the official DEXTER: RESURRECTION Spotify playlist! So, if you want a full breakdown of EVERY song that played this season, here you go!

So, search "Pike Project" wherever you listen to music, or just stream it below, LOUDLY! 🤘🏻✌🏻🎶

2025, Vol. 7: I Made My Therapist Cry Today

"This is, excuse me, a damn fine mix if I do say so myself!"

Hot on the heels of mix #6, I couldn't resist and put this one together which I tested out on my recent two week road trip! And yet again, it's one of my best mixes! We've got very welcome returns from Nine Inch Nails, Deftones, Filter! Great new singles from local friends Playing Dead (NY), Ty Teg,  hemwick witch, and 1000 Years (LA). gursday is a Long Island band and "died on the vine" could be not just their best track, but one of the best songs on this mix! Speaking of Long Island, Rollin' Coffin is Tim Williams new band of VOD fame. Dean Lewis covering the Goo Goo Dolls! My newest discovery is MEMI, a Korean singer and queen of heavy guitar! Two songs from her, the second one, LOVE SONG, has this great Deftones vibe to it. And I just discovered the aptly named band, The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die, whom remind me of my beloved Failure! Lastly, the title comes from the new single by Grimson, an artist I first heard playing acoustically in my friend Sean Fernald's backyard! When I heard the catchy phrase, "I Made My Therapist Cry Today," I knew it'd be the perfect name for this mix, paired with the pop art of Alfred Hitchcock's VERTIGO poster! It's a fun hour and a half ride, so kick back and ENJOY!
