Giles Corey

During the Salem Witch Trials, Giles Corey, along with his wife, were falsely accused of witchcraft and sentenced to death by pressing, the barbaric execution practice in which they put large boulders on your body. When pushed to confess, he refused because he was innocent. His final words were "more weight."

He was absolved in 1712, 20 years after his public execution for something he didn't do.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN SEASON!
